The purpose of the Hall County Quilt Guild is to bring together people who share a common love of quilting and enable them to participate in community service projects which benefit those in need, while preserving a rich heritage and exploring new expressions of the art of quilting through education.
Some of the benefits of being a member of Hall County Quilt Guild are participation in the Block of the Month, Community Service Projects, a monthly Birthday Raffle and Show N Tell. Most importantly, you become part of a special group of people – quilters! We are here to be your friend, share our knowledge and the love of quilting, and offer encouragement so you can complete that UFO!
We currently have 104 members. Our members live in the surrounding towns of Auborn, Buford, Braselton, Flowery Branch, Gainesville, Hoschton, Lawrenceville, Sugar Hill and several others.
Membership dues are $25.00 per calendar year plus an additional charge for postage, paper and other fees if the newsletter is to be sent by snail mail. General meetings are held the first Monday of the month except for September or when holiday falls on that Monday. Then they are on the next Monday of the month.
We meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church—4733 Winder Highway.
Our community project is to make Quilts for Eagle Ranch children home. We also make smaller items for area nursing homes.
